On November 10, 2011 CoESS was kindly invited by AVG, the Lithuanian private security association, to speak at its 7th Lithuanian Personal and Property Protection Specialists Conference, which took place at the Karolina Hotel and Conference Centre in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Saulius Pridotkas, President of AVG, welcomed all delegates to the Conference and gave the floor to a number of distinguished speakers including the State Tax Inspectorate of the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance, the Police Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior, the Latvian private security association, the Estonian private security association (ESA, active member of CoESS), the Fire and Rescue Services Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior, the Lithuanian Insurers Association and the Lithuanian Association of Security Personnel.
The Conference focused on the state of play of the private security sector in the Baltic countries and in Europe. It discussed the challenges the Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian private security industries are facing today and offered the ideal opportunity to exchange views and best practice. CoESS delivered a presentation on the current and future projects and priorities of the Confederation and updated the audience on the many European initiatives and activities that exist today in relation to security.
