Ordinary and Extra-Ordinary General Assembly

The next CoESS Ordinary and Extra-Ordinary General Meetings take place in Brussels on September 29th 2005, 10h - 16h30, Bedford Hotel.

At the last Extraordinary General Meetings, that took place in Istanbul in September 2002 and in Corfu in September 2003, important steps were made in the CoESS history, by adopting and modifying the new Statutes.

While trying hard to implement these Statutes to their full extent (the Working Committees have been active since a while, a new Working Committee on Maritime Security has been established, a series of new Members has joined CoESS, ….), it became clear that some articles of the Statutes call for further improvements or clarifications in order to make CoESS and the way it is functioning more efficient.

The preparations of these modifications are underway. It is the intention of the Board of Directors of CoESS to submit to the next General Meeting an updated and improved version of the CoESS Statutes. The next General Meeting will therefore be followed be an Extraordinary General Meeting.
