Private Security in Europe – CoESS Facts & Figures 2008

CoESS is proud to present the official outcomes of its research project 'Private Security in Europe – CoESS Facts & Figures 2008 ' , which was initiated earlier this year and aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the private security industry. The study covers a wide geographical area targeting a total of 34 countries, i.e. the 27 EU Member States as well as 7 other European countries: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey. It allows for an updated and accurate outline of the private security sector focusing on the legal, social and economic realities within the 34 countries, and looks to identify similarities and differences among these countries. CoESS' Facts & Figures 2008 is the only available analysis at European level to offer representative and exhaustive statistical and factual information about the European private security industry today!

2008 European monitoring statistics from Monitoring and Alarm Receiving Centres

n 2008, CoESS launched a wide-scale survey among its member federations in order to gather general statistical information from Monitoring and Alarm Receiving Centres throughout Europe and beyond. The survey explored key indicators, which in turn help to understand the scale of European monitoring in a fast-moving and dynamic European private security landscape. The results of the survey will serve as the basis for future projects CoESS will undertake in the field of monitoring and alarm receiving activities. Please click here in order to download the 2008 European monitoring statistics from Monitoring and Alarm Receiving Centres. Please note that the figures and data reflected in this overview are approximate and may be subject to change. If you feel that the data stated is inaccurate or if you wish to amend/add certain data or figures, please notify the CoESS General Secretariat via telephone +32 2 462 07 73 or e-mail.
