Projects and Standards

CoESS closely follows the work carried out by the recently set up ISO TC 292 “Security and Resilience”, and more particularly within Working Group (WG) 6, “Security”.

The CoESS activities in ISO are part of its general strategy to emphasize quality and raise awareness to the added value that private security companies bring to the entire security value chain.

At ISO-level, CoESS closely follows the work carried out by the ISO TC 292 “Security and Resilience”, and more particularly within Working Group (WG) 6, “Security”. The work done by CoESS at ISO TC 292 aims to contribute to general protective security standards within companies, and seek to “connect the dots” between client companies and private security suppliers by ensuring consistent values and practices.

Several CoESS Member Associations are involved in ISO TC 292 WG6, in order to ensure that there is no overlap of work, and that the specificity of the European private security industry is well understood and taken into due consideration in any new standard developed by ISO.
