CoESS joins launch of EU-funded Safe Cities project on the protection of public spaces in a public-private partnership approach
CoESS supports as a consortium member the EU-funded Safe Cities project, together with partners from 9 EU Member States. The project will deliver a vulnerability assessment platform for the protection of public spaces in a public-private partnership approach.
As part of the project, CoESS is responsible for providing input from the European private security industry on best practices in public-private partnerships with a particular view to the protection of public spaces. Feedback will be provided from the industry on how to conduct joint risk and vulnerability assessments with operators and law enforcement, and experts will be sent to various workshops, hackathons and trainings to test the online vulnerability assessment tool over the upcoming two years.
