The European Labour Authority (ELA) is planning to conduct in-depth research on the prevalance, characteristics and good practices in tackling un(-der)declared work and bogus self-employment in the European private security services.
The EU Social Partners in private security, CoESS and UNI Europa, have long called for respective capability-building measures at EU-level to help labour inspectorates and Social Partners actively address the issue. Both organisations hence welcome respective plans of the ELA and will contribute to country-studies, interviews and the sharing of good practices throughout 2025.
